A Note from President & Founder, Hayley Paige

I founded A Girl You Might Know Foundation. Because I am a girl you might know—and I’m standing up for every creator, artist, and dreamer who’s been told their work doesn’t belong to them.

Our foundation brings awareness to the dangers of non-compete clauses and predatory contract language. We advocate for protections around social media presence, intellectual property, and name/image rights. Through affordable or pro bono legal services, negotiation training, case law education, and experience-based resources, we help young creatives protect their ideas—and themselves.

We can’t wait to see you at our first ever Signature Gala in D.C.!

  • Founder & President, AGYMK

Hayley Paige (also known as Cheval) is a designer, advocate, and Founder/President of A Girl You Might Know Foundation. At just 25, she became a celebrated bridal designer, creating thousands of gowns and appearing on Say Yes to the Dress, inspiring brides around the world. Early in her career, she signed a long-term contract that unknowingly gave away the rights to her own name.

After nearly a decade of designing, her attempt to renegotiate that agreement led to a restrictive legal battle that cost her identity, name, trade, social media accounts, and creative freedom. Refusing to be defined by that loss, she reintroduced herself to the world as Cheval, launched a women’s shoe line (SheIsCheval.com), and became a powerful voice for young creatives navigating unfair contracts.

In 2024, Hayley testified before Congress on the dangers of restrictive contracts and non-compete clauses. Later that year, following a lengthy legal battle, she regained ownership of her name and intellectual property.

Now, as she returned to bridal design in early 2025, she continues her mission through A Girl You Might Know Foundation, providing legal education, negotiation training, and advocacy for creatives. Her story stands as both a cautionary tale and a testament to resilience: that no dream should cost you your name, your morals, or your sense of self.
