A Girl You Might Know Foundation Press Release in Collaboration with Day Pitney LLP

A Girl You Might Know Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to empowering the next generation of female leaders, is proud to announce a new collaboration with Day Pitney LLP, a leading full-service law firm. Day Pitney's Intellectual Property (IP) group, specifically its Trademark, Copyright & Advertising practice, is a well-regarded team that provides a wide range of services to clients from individuals and startups to Fortune 500 companies. The group's approach is to align IP strategy with a client's overall business objectives, focusing on protecting brands both in the U.S. and globally.

This partnership will provide five of the Foundation's grant recipients with invaluable pro bono legal support to help them establish a solid intellectual property framework for their businesses. This collaboration is designed to tackle a critical barrier for new entrepreneurs: access to affordable and expert legal counsel. Day Pitney will donate 10 hours of pro bono legal services to each of the five selected grantees. These hours will be used to address essential intellectual property business needs, such as trademark registration, copyright registration, and intellectual property disputes.

Day Pitney's generous support will give our entrepreneurs the confidence and security they need to focus on what they do best: innovating and building their companies. We are incredibly grateful for their commitment to our mission. The five entrepreneurs will be selected based on their business plans and legal needs, and will be matched with Day Pitney attorneys who have relevant experience. This initiative directly aligns with the Foundation's core belief that with the right resources, young women can achieve their entrepreneurial dreams and become powerful economic drivers in their communities.

About A Girl You Might Know Foundation

A Girl You Might Know Foundation is a non-profit organization that empowers young women to become leaders and entrepreneurs. The Foundation provides grants, mentorship, and educational resources to help them turn their innovative ideas into reality. Hayley Paige created the "A Girl You Might Know Foundation" to help other young creatives, artists, and entrepreneurs avoid the same pitfalls she faced. The foundation's mission is rooted in the belief that no one should have to sacrifice their name, identity, or dreams due to predatory contract language or restrictive non-compete clauses.

The foundation's name, "A Girl You Might Know," is a direct reference to Paige's own journey, where she felt that her story was relatable to many other artists and professionals who have faced similar challenges with their intellectual property and creative freedoms.
